Hi all,

First, my hellos to all the members of Cite HR. I recently explored this site and found it amazingly interesting.

Mohit, here are a few suggestions to make a company world-class:

1. Strong employee and customer base - no matter what the size of the company is.
2. As a company, it should concentrate on:
- Delighting its employees and customers.
- Frankness and honesty in everything.
- Excellence in all work done.
- A leaderless situation where each and every person in the company takes ownership of the job they do.

The list of suggestions is never-ending! :D

Thanks,
Annu

Hi Anuradha,

Thanks for sending the suggestion, but only suggesting something doesn't solve the problem. What actions should be taken to improve it?

How to make it...

Mohit,

Everything will not happen overnight. It's a journey, and of course, a long journey. This should be the goal of each and every employee of the company, and they should strive to reach this goal.

All the big companies today were smaller companies yesterday, and they had the right dream and vision that had taken them to this pinnacle.

Any company that wishes to become a global leader had taken this massive step when they were small in number.

So, the start is with our employees. If they have the right attitude and are extremely well-performing, they give satisfaction to the customer.

If the deliverable is of high quality, then the customer is satisfied. Never compromise on quality. Find ways to retain them. As said in my earlier email, no matter what the size of your employee base and customer base, all that matters is how strong and competent they are.

From there, try to excel in each and every step you take. Take risks and make gutsy decisions. I know it's easy to say, but hard to implement. But only by taking such an initiative, can we be a global leader.

Thanks,

Annu

Hi Rohit,

First of all, could you please explain your understanding of a World-Class Organization?

Hi Mohit,

For a start, you can consider training employees on customer service orientation, as customers are the fundamental elements of a company. Next, you may want to determine the best industry practices. You could hire some trainees for this purpose or even engage an external agency to conduct research and provide recommendations.

Research can also be carried out to identify the areas where your organization is lacking. You could begin by focusing on customers for this analysis.

Hope this information is helpful.

Goodbye and take care,

Reena 😊

I would like to seek your perspective on what a world-class organization is. What are the key characteristics of a world-class organization? What can be done to make a world-class organization?

Dear Cite HR Stakeholders,

World Class Means?

Any have...

To grow as world-class, it purely depends on the core values, vision, and belief. There should be a reason to serve the world. Reason to serve reflects VISION.

To grow, one organization believes in innovation, another in creativity, another in strategic thinking, and one in leadership. But one organization shouldn't be influenced by others. It means the organization relies on its strength and opportunities. Don't react immediately to how others...

(A small story to illustrate the above three lines:

Everybody knows the Rabbit & Tortoise Story. In that story, the Rabbit loses the game in the first attempt. But the second time, the Rabbit realizes and wins the game without any sleeping...

From here, I am redefining the story...

Then the Tortoise decided that at any cost, I can't win this game. Then the Tortoise changes the place...

This time, the Tortoise asks the Rabbit: Can you participate in a race in water?

By this, the Rabbit drops out of the battle...

Interpretation of this Story:

The Rabbit is strong in a race when it is on the ground.

But it is weak in water.

The Tortoise is strong in water.

I hope all HR people understand...
