I suggest you try using the book "The Training Design Manual: The Complete Practical Guide to Creating Effective and Successful Training Programmes" by Tony Bray. I hope it will benefit you.

Dear Vinay,

Some of the books/journals I found to be good are:

- Frances, Bee R 1994 Training Need Analysis and Evaluation. IPM, London
- Journal of European Industrial Training 21(3):39-50
- Kirkpatrick D L 1994 Evaluating Training Programs: The Four Levels. Berrett-Koehler, San Francisco

Hope you can lay your hands on these books.

Hello, if you want to look at the training aspect and how it is conducted, then the following book is very useful: "TRAINING FOR DUMMIES" BY ELAINE BIECH.

Best regards,

Hello. I would recommend that you look at "High Impact Training: Getting Results and Respect" by Todd Lapidus; Jossey-Bass/Pfeiffer, San Francisco, CA. ISBN 0-7879-4642-7. Lapidus himself recognizes that the book is not about presentation and flip charts, but about the ability to structure training so that it addresses the needs of the target—not necessarily the needs of the corporate entity. This book, more than any other, opened my eyes to a functionality that is required to be a successful trainer—and more importantly, to be in demand as a trainer. Hope that's helpful.

Hi All,

There is a very good book called "Training for Development" by Rolf P. Lynton and Uday A. Pareek. I highly recommend going through it, as it is an excellent book.

Regards,
Sandeep.
