Services of employees are governed by the Industrial Employment Standard Standing Order Act or the certified Industrial Employment Standard Standing Order Act, as well as the service rules of the establishment. Conditions of service rules can be used for misconduct and mentioned in the termination letter.
Another provision of the Industrial Employment Standard Standing Order Act also covers various forms of serious misconduct, with all serious misconduct defined within this act.
On the grounds of serious misconduct, an employee can be terminated by citing misconduct such as theft, moral turpitude, misbehavior towards others, and other reasons as defined in the act.
