How Is Your Company Responding to the September 4th State Holiday Request in Tamil Nadu?

Hi All,

By now, I hope you are aware of the State Government holiday on September 4, 2009, for the State mourning for AP Chief Minister Mr. YSR. Tamil Nadu CM has requested private establishments to declare a holiday in support of the above cause. I have attached the notification posted on the Govt. website in this regard. Please let me know about your organization's decision on this.

I am told that it is a holiday in Karnataka too. It is also said that it is declared under the Negotiable Instruments Act, which means banks are also closed. Any confirmation on this?
