Thats great arpan. There is no shortcut for success. You have to be persistently dedicated and apply your smartness to achieve results efficiently and effectively. What's happening in the world. When we see a person working very hardly and either achieving results or not, we take him as a fool and the person who does the work with some unethical shortcut as a smart one. World is going in this direction. And we are attaching smart worker tag to the second one and hard worker tag to the first one. Why don't we discourage those who take shortcuts. This is because this guy gets ahead with superiors and we feel that this is the way to go ahead. So when you go up the ladder please don't look for such tags and encourage shortcuts. Example quoted by arpan rightly fits here. And to accomplish you have to do. Without doing you can't accomplish. So when you - all you hr people - ask for hard worker or smart worker, test for both because both are needed. But look for ethically smart people not shortcuts.
