Hello,

Please help me with the Factory Act-related returns. How many returns need to be filled out in the Factory Act for a manufacturing company? 😕

There are 3 returns filed by the employer in the Factories Act 1948:

1. Annual return in Form 21
2. Half-yearly return in Form 22
3. Monthly accident return on dangerous happenings to be submitted by the 1st week of February in Form 31.

Greetings for the day!

You need to file the following returns under the Factories Act, 1948:

1. Notice of Accident/Dangerous Occurrence within 4 hours of occurrence to the Inspector/Director of Factories. Please refer to State Rules for the concerned form.
2. Report of Accident within 12 hours of occurrence to the Inspector/Director of Factories. Please refer to State Rules for the concerned form.
3. Half-Yearly Return by 15th July of every year to the concerned Director/Inspector. Please refer to State Rules for the concerned form.
4. Application for Renewal of License by 30th October to the concerned Director/Inspector. Please refer to State Rules for the concerned form.
