Struggling with Internet Distractions at Work: How Can I Overcome This Habit?

uspotdar2002
Dear Friends,

First of all, "Ganapati Bappa Morya."

I am working in an industrial organization. I have a bad habit of using the internet for unwanted activities such as viewing and downloading adult content. This habit leads to procrastination of my actual work. Additionally, when I am trying to focus on tasks, I find it difficult due to a cluttered mind.

Can you help me?

Regards,
Umesh

Yeah, I think I can help you. Look, why do you feel this way? Maybe your mind is not fully occupied by the work you do.

You may be smart enough to finish the job assigned to you in a short time. So, what to do now?

Develop some habits or get associated with any social service organization or something else. You might say you don't find it interesting, which is a very obvious answer. It's difficult to move your mind.

So, do what I tell you one by one. Start playing any game online, even if it doesn't interest you. Do it continuously for three days in your free time. You can try Spider Solitaire as well and aim to win the game.

In the first step, you may find it boring and feel like leaving the game midway when you lose. But, dear, trust me. Keep doing it and try to find all possible ways.

Do it regularly for three days, and that's it. Your problem is over. From the fourth day, you will find it interesting and enjoy playing more and more.

Remember, the mind is a source of energy. You just need to divert it in a constructive way, and the results will speak for themselves.

Try it; it works 100%. Or reply to me for further guidance. Remember, God always helps in leaving bad habits, so naturally, you will feel good by the end of the day when you don't engage in what you mentioned.

Take care.
