Gunjan, the post is filled with good information for anyone who is drafting and preparing a resume. For the novice, this is a helpful tool that will assist them in presenting themselves positively to a company, organization, or recruiter.

People should take quality time to prepare their resumes/CVs as it is the key that will unlock the door to securing a face-to-face interview. Most don't place much value on it; they think it is just another piece of paper. 🤔

Dear Gunjan,

You are on point, and thank you a lot. I would like to add one more and make it a dozen - AVOID CLICHES. One gets really sick reading ad nauseam repeated phrases like "I will leave no stone unturned...." as though he is applying for a stone cutter's job. While attempting to market oneself, one may overdo it in most cases, but understatement and candidness also make for interesting reading.

We find your article quite useful. Another thing we notice is the use of "OBJECTIVE" at the top of the resume, where candidates often fill it with jargon in an attempt to make the sentence attractive. In most cases, it is seen as a ritual rather than a genuine understanding of the "objective." During candidate interviews, it is regrettable to note that many candidates are unaware of the purpose, significance, and even the meaning of the "objective."

As a result, they fail to make a good impression. I hope you agree with me that in most cases, resumes are prepared by professionals. A resume truly reflects the candidate's true colors only when it is compiled by the candidate themselves.

Worth reading this PowerPoint presentation. I saw many resumes lacking proper information in them.

Please ensure there is a single line break between the paragraphs for proper formatting and readability.

Not a very good post. I do not think a real professional would make such mistakes. This is suitable for those applying for a low cadre job.

9. Covering letter/ note's description- If your covering letter is one third or half of your resume, you may lose chances of getting shortlisted and why would a recruiter spend 10 mins in reading the information, as provided below:
