HRD Instruments - what that means?

Jansloley
I'm new to studying HR and have an assignment on HRD Instruments, but am blank as to what that means. Another assignment relates to approach and avoidance aspects of management, but am unsure if this relates to Conflict Management or general management. Can someone lighten my darkness in these 2 matters, please. Unfortunately, I'm not as computer savvy as I thought so I'm unable to locate the needed information on the Internet. Thanks.

Hi there,
I think it most probably refers to the different types of interventions available in your tool box. The following are some examples:
analysis of human performance problem using 6 Sigma methodology or questionniar; root cause analysis ( fishbone and 5 why techniques), process facilitation, well designed training programme, coaching, project work, planned reading etc
Do GOOGLE search on training interventions and see what comes up

For HRD & OD Instruments, I would suggest you to refer to a book by the same title by Dr Uday Pareek, which, I feel, is an exhaustive compendium of HR instruments and would give you an in-depth knowledge into the subject. And for your other topic, any book on 'conflict management' would deal with the approach-avoidance issues.
All the best.

:)Hi,
You are talking about Stress Mnagement and Coping with stress strategies. You can get more details regarding this topic in Pestonjee's Book about Stress and also can refer to HRD Instruments by Udai Pareek.
