Hello, while serving notice period if person falls sick and if he takes sick leave whether notice period will be extended. If he is having sufficient leave in balance(both sick and previledge leave) Praveen
Sick leaves supported by valid medical certificates are genuine documents for an employee to avail leave. Therefore, there is no legality in extending the notice period if an employee falls sick during his notice period. However, depending upon the policy of the company, leaves for other reasons may not be allowed. Regards, Madhu.T.K
