How Can We Encourage More Engagement by Addressing Unanswered Posts Promptly?

Ajmal Mirza
Hi CHR,

The total unanswered posts have risen to 581 topics. I would suggest that all of us come together and answer the posts as early as possible, especially if they are from students or someone asking for help/suggestions. I believe that if queries are answered promptly, new members will be motivated to participate more actively in the group.

A Request To CHR: If you could create one more counter on the dashboard, specifically for topics seeking answers or having queries, that would be highly beneficial. Please create a link for the unanswered queries as it is quite challenging to locate them among all the unanswered articles spread across different topics. I attempted to find some this morning. A link from your end for all the unanswered queries would be greatly appreciated.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Thank you.

Hi Azmal,

Great effort, I must say. To help you out, there is already a link for unanswered posts. On the top right side of every page of citehr, there is a link for unanswered posts. It is given as 'Total unanswered posts: 575 topics'.

Here, 575 is a link. If you click it, you'll see a list of all unanswered posts starting from the most recent ones. Hope this helps.

Reena

P.S. - By the way, 575 is the number of unanswered posts right now.

Hi Reena,

Thanks for the concern and appreciation. I hope you would also contribute to the cause.

The post lists all the unanswered queries:

I am looking only for unanswered queries and not all the unanswered posts, as most of them are articles that do not require replies since they are not queries but serve as informational resources for the members.

What I am requesting CHR to do is to segregate the queries from the articles so that we can better assist those seeking help.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the delay in replying; I was caught up with some urgent issues. This surely is a great cause, and I wish I could do something about this right away, but unfortunately, I am not able to. The problem is that there is no way I can sit down and sort all the messages to find the ones that are queries. This task has to be done manually, and unfortunately, it will be extremely difficult to accomplish.

However, I'll try to figure out a way to categorize the queries and articles. I will let you guys know if I can think of something.

Warm regards,
CHR

To segregate queries from the articles, everyone of us can help with this. We can type "query" and then the actual query in the subject line in bold letters. This way, it will be visible and may work. For CHR, you can post this below the box where we type as posting guidelines. This can be done until you think of something else. Hope it helps.

Hi,

I had sent invitations to join this forum to two of my friends, Murali R. and Pranam Vishwanath. I also received a message stating that your message has been sent to [Login to view]. They have registered and become members, but I cannot see their names on the supporters' page next to mine. I confirmed with them that they have logged in using the link I provided and the subsequent page from that link.

Please let me know what's happening.

Hi,

Instead of looking at pending numbers negatively, can we have some order here instead of burdening somebody to manually go through all the mails. My suggestion is: Like in KPM - "Key Performance Measure in ISO 9000-2001", the initiator should wait for 15 days for a possible suggestion or solution. Alternatively, he should close the same with his suggestion and contribution. Hope this should bring down the number of pending topics and save the administrators' burden.

Bala

Hi Bala,

You have a very good suggestion. That is really good. By doing this, we could know the status of the problem or the query, and if it is solved, we would know how it was resolved.

Hey CHR,

Also, please look into my earlier request.

Soumya Shankar
