Regarding Consolidated Salary

sitarist
Dear Friends,
My management asked me to prepare an appointment letter with a monthly salary of Rs.7000/- without P.F. facility. I have mentioned the salary as Consolidated Rs.7000/- p.m. Is this correct? In this case should I only deduct professional tax? Do I have to give break up ? How to make a break up and simultaneously not give any P.F. ?
can anyone reply me urgently to my email Id please.
Regards,

Your management is trying to flout the rule of PF. The employee should be covered under PF act whether it is consolidated pay or other pay scale.

Hi jeeva,
Pl read his query. He is asking about PF not PT. No separate rule for PF for every state.

Hi pon. I am telling for PT. for PF the same rule all over india but PT varies state to state. He is clearly mentioned that "Should I only deduct professional tax". Thats the reason I have specified this statement. In karnataka there is no PT for below Rs.10000/-. if consolidated pay is Rs.7000/- that employee is not at all applicable for PT.
More over I beleive U R from chennai. if possible can u please give me the latest slab for PT in TN. Earlier the lowest slab was in TN.
