Esic Is On Gross Salary Or Gross Payable??

Dear all..
ESIC is calculated from...
the gross amount -
or gross payable.. .because sometimes if gross is 9000/- and due to over time the gross payable goes up to say 11000/- then..will esic be applicable..??

Dear Leo,
Esic is applicable gross upto Rs 10,000/= , if u say that it cross due to over time than it is applicable for rs 10000/= because on over time esic is applicable.

dear
donot club salary and overtime.if your salary is less than 10000 per month than ESI will be deducted on your gross earnings.
whatever you have earning in OT will attract ESI deduction.
