Policy on Relocation
Objective:
To establish a policy for compensating relocation expenses for new employees at *.
Eligibility:
Prospective employees of * who are joining the Office of * from a different state location within the country, and relocation is offered to them as part of their offer.
Entitlement:
One-way travel for self and family (spouse, dependent children, and dependent parents) restricted to II AC or equivalent.
Reimbursement of freight forwarding charges (by road/train), packing, and transit insurance expenses, subject to a maximum of Rs. 30,000, against the production of bills.
New joining employees will be given Rs1500.00 per day for 7 days during which the employee is required to identify a house as per their requirements. Finalization of the guest house/hotel accommodation will be done by the administration coordinator based on the inputs from the HR department. Transfer-related expenses would be debited to the concerned function.
a) The allowance is payable only after completion of two months of service with the organization.
b) The allowance needs to be submitted within 4 months from the date of joining.
In addition to this, senior employees in Band C and above will be entitled to one-way air travel for self and family (spouse, dependent children, and dependent parents) by the shortest route. (That is, if you plan to go to Delhi from Kolkata, you are supposed to buy a non-stop ticket from Kolkata to Delhi). No stopovers or detours will be allowed.
Also, Band C and above are entitled to 2 days off as relocation leave.
This policy is for domestic relocation.
