Understanding PF Account Numbers in MNCs: What Should HR Executives Know?

I am Nagaraj H V. Could you please provide me with information about PF? According to labor law, what type of account numbers do we have to use in MNC companies?

There is no difference in allotting PF account numbers to MNCs. Once you are covered, you will get an establishment code number from the EPF. The employees' account numbers will be allotted serially after the establishment code number. Therefore, a member's PF number will contain three parts: first, the area code (like KR for all establishments in Kerala), area subcode (like KNR for the sub-regional office of EPF in Kannur area), followed by the establishment code and the member's account number.
