Understanding HR and Employee Expectations: What Should Each Side Know and Do?

COLIG
Dear Friends,

To improve HR functioning in an organization, one must understand what an HR Department can provide to its employees (EXPECTATIONS OF EMPLOYEES) and what HR expects from employees, such as a code of conduct, etc. Based on your personal experiences, please suggest some points that can be utilized in the organization.

Thank you & Regards

Hi Colleague,

I believe that HR professionals expect employees to have knowledge of the following:
1. All the policies of the company (generally available on the company intranet).
2. All the components of the employee's salary (generally provided in the appointment letter).
They should refrain from asking HR questions that are already available on the company intranet (under FAQ) and clearly defined in company policies and the appointment letter. Additionally, HR personnel feel that employees should regularly read company circulars.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.
