MBA HR Project Help: Is My Change Management Study in Retail a Research or Survey?

I am doing my MBA 2nd year with specialization in HR.
I am looking forward to do a HR project on “Change management” in Retail industry (Big bazaar). Whether this project comes under research type or survey type?

Also can any one give some ideas regarding this project.
