I agree with Richa’s ideas. It will be nice if it is updated frequently and the image is attractive.
You can include up coming events of the company which the employees look forward to. Then special advertising items can be included. Maybe a simple daily quote can be displayed and you can request employees to submit quotes as well.
Special achievements can be displayed and appreciated and also this can be used to make the employees aware of the Company objectives, vision & mission.
Special Company efforts to enhance employee benefits could be notified which may motivate the employees.
