Hi Experts,
I have been working at a software company for 2 years. Initially, when I joined this company, I cleared the background verification two times. After 2 years, my current employer conducted another background check and discovered that my previous IT employer is no longer responding or existing. I later found out that the previous employer closed 5 months ago due to recession. I informed HR about this, but they are not convinced and are requesting my Form 16, incorporation letter of the previous employer, and bank statements showing where my salary was credited.
I worked with the previous IT employer on a contract pay role, and it had around 60 employees. I received my salary in cash, so no Form 16 was issued to me. I am unsure how to obtain the incorporation letter of my previous employer and which government authority I should contact for this.
Please advise me on what steps to take next.
Thank you.
