Dear Parashar,
Thank you for your suggestion for leaving the sleeping partners out of the team, we did exactly that and the result were tremendous.
Regarding the case that you have put, these are my sugestions:
# You said you voluntarily participated in the organisation, so why so much expectations in terms of "INVITATIONS" to attend another meeting.
# In the first meeting, it was not only you but other members also who paid the excess money, but no one except you raised this issue, I may be wrong here and you may be correct that in second meeting most of them did not turned up because of this. But who knows the truth.
# Regarding the presence of official in the meetings, I dont really know it was required. The so called official was involved in each step and supported the organisation totally, HIS SUPPORT WAS THEIR THROUGH OUT.
# I took a two days session in one of ASIA's best Management Institute on Team work and discussed this case of mine with them. The upcoming Managers and some of them Leaders also gave me a wonderful conclusion which I'll surely share with all in few days.
# You were a part of Organising committee, and you wanted an invitation, that's SURPRISING. This is surely not Team work.
# Giving suggestions and not walking the talk is the real problem, if you can chase those people and give suggestions, why not work and show them.
# Now the personal life, when we are talking about this in open, let me also say this:
Second meet: my brother was down with typhoid and I'm the only one to take care, still I made sure I should come for the meet. Interstingly, I was also not at all well, and I came. WHY? Because I was the team leader.
Third meet: I lost my father's ELDER BROTHER, just three days back but I made sure I attend this meet, which was organised by just 4 members of the SO called organising committee. One more member lost his CHACHA, he could not come but he was there through out for the work, not just talk.
MAY God bless your son.
Regards,
