Seeking Marketing Project Ideas: Is a SWOT Analysis on Direct Marketing a Good Fit?

Hi, I have completed my 1st MBA at Karpagam College of Engineering under Anna University. I have received permission for my summer project at Cotton India Company. They specialize in selling their ready-made dresses through Direct Marketing. I am seeking Marketing-related topics for my project. Can you suggest some topics? Additionally, I have chosen the topic of conducting a SWOT Analysis of the company. Is this topic considered marketing-related?

How are they selling the garments now? Do they use other methods in addition to direct marketing? The SWOT analysis of the organization encompasses marketing and is more comprehensive as it includes all other functions.

Is this summer project an internship or is it for your final project?

They are selling their garments through their own shops, i.e., direct selling. They are not following any other marketing methods. This is my summer project on internship. They are manufacturing their own products, and that is for males alone.

If you are considering a marketing project, you can conduct a customer survey at all five shops to see if there are any differences between them. If differences exist, identify them and determine the reasons behind their existence. Then, consider what can be done to bring the poorer shops up to the level of the top-ranking shop. You should analyze both the product and service aspects.

You need to conduct a literature survey and decide on the aim and objectives, etc. Please see my posts on Research Methodology and MBA Projects. It all depends on what you enjoy and what you want to do in your life: a desk job in Finance, traveling (Marketing involves that), working with people to solve their problems (HR), or solving production problems like quality, scheduling, projects, etc. Have a nice day.
