Dear Sir,

I am a fresher and have faced many interviews, but I cannot give a proper answer to the question "Tell me about yourself." Please send me an answer with an example.

Be confident while attending the interview. If you don't know the answer, tell them directly. Don't be too please also. Your answer should be in such a way that the interviewer should think that you're very confident.

Hi,

The question "Tell me about yourself" is both open-ended and tricky. Let me share what I would expect as an answer to this question. Firstly, as a fresher, I would expect you to start with an introduction of yourself, briefly mentioning your family, where you pursued your education, your strengths relevant to the job profile, what you aim to learn from the organization (essentially addressing your weaknesses in a disguised form), and a conclusion.

Hi,

Very rightly said, Vidhya. From a fresher, we also expect them to talk about a project or an incident that the candidate can relate to the applied job. For example, the candidate can share an experience from their school or college where they demonstrated leadership skills or teamwork, or discuss a project they have worked on.

The flow for answering "Tell me something about yourself" could be as follows:
- Introduction
- About Family (Number of family members and their occupations)
- Qualifications
- Projects/Internships
- Strengths/Weaknesses

Thank you,
Abhishek

Hi Abhishek,

Sorry, yar, I have totally forgotten about the projects and interns people have to undergo. I think your point is very valid.

Thanks,
VidhyaVinoth
