Dear Friend,
Its human psychology that people tends to be more polite toward opposite sex. its not a matter of gender discrimination or 18th centrury. It depends on executive's convincing power also. I personally believe generally it happens that people used behave in more cultured way with other gender at the time of coversation.

AS AT RAJA told,if you are broad minded no need to think abt Gender bias,I am 100 % agree.....it was a question only, don't be offensive or behave like mind set people..you all are HR's man.....if you behave like a mind set people, wat abt others......I dint raise my finger the ability of any HR's, whether its male or female, they have already trained for the such communication....but my quest is if communication b/w diffe sex is going , definitely there will be lil bit change you can find, may be its on micro level.......

Hi,
It is all in the mind...what matters is what image you potray / how you carry yourself. In todays world it hardly matters whether you are male / female. Each job can be competently done by either sex.
What an interviwer should look for in candidate is -- knowledge, competency, job fit....sex of the candidate should not ideally be a factor.

Dear Partho,
Your question is good, but it totally depends on the Interviewer mood...HR's in MNC's want good quality people, either of the sex. So dont worry about the interviewer.
We cant predict the interviewer to be male or female. So grab the job and get the things done.

Language is not barrier of communication. We Indians are spaeking dIfferent locations, different culture & different language people gathering under a roof & fighting the right.(Our elders fought for the freedom. The movment there is no problem of communication culture etc

I have no idea what you wish to impart. But in my country as well as all of Europe & USA this sort of view is considered sexist & gender discrimination.
As a HR person you should be aware of this.

Hi,
I would say that you have asked a really intelligent question.
Male HR + female candidate
2.Female HR + Male candidate
the above two are usually more effective.
I have been into HR and recruting and interviewing candidates for over 3 years and my exp suggests this.
Rgds,
