Looking to Transition into Training and Development? Course Recommendations Needed!

shivangiHR
Hello,

If anyone can suggest some good courses in Training and Development that hold value and I can pursue while working, I would appreciate it. I have completed a regular MBA and have 2 years of experience in a generalist profile. However, I have a strong desire to transition into Training and Development, which is why I aim to enhance my skills in this area. Any recommendations would be highly appreciated!

Thank you.

Hi Shivani,

If you are pursuing an MBA, there is no specific need to pursue a separate diploma or degree in HR. If your MBA is not in HR, you can simply opt for a one-year diploma in HRM.

I have completed my regular MBA in 2007 itself and have been working for the past 2 years in a company. I want to pursue a new course in Training and Development (T&D) to enhance my knowledge in this area as I aspire to become a core T&D professional. If someone can help me in selecting a good course apart from ISTD as I am already familiar with it, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hey Shivangi,

There is a weekend program from ICFAI, a PG in T&D; you may have contact classes too. It can be a good course. ISTD is good, too. Also, T3 from any organization, especially GENPACT or IBM, would be good. You may apply there, and you get to attend the T3 free of cost; however, later, i.e., after the T3 (TRAIN-THE-TRAINER), you would be absorbed as a training resource in the company.
