Navigating PF Withdrawal: How to Recover Your Funds After Leaving a Job Abruptly?

pradhanephrem
Hi,

I guess I am in a kind of mess. I was working with a company (sorry for not revealing the company's name); let's take it as Company A. I quit Company A and joined another (Company B). I transferred the PF amount from Company A to Company B (however, I am not sure whether the money did get transferred, but I do have the PF numbers of both A and B).

Well, the concern is, due to some personal issues, I did abscond from Company B, which means I don't have any paperwork. But I assume that Company A's money has gone into Company B. I can't transfer the PF now as I haven't informed the new company. But I want to withdraw the amount, at least from Company A, because I was there in Company B for only three months or so.

What should I do? Please, can someone tell me. Please do reply to me.

Thank you

Dear,

First of all, you have to get it cleared from the PF office of Company B whether your PF from Company A has been transferred and credited to Company B's account. If it has been transferred, then you will be able to withdraw it through Company B only. You should approach Company B for attestation of your PF withdrawal form. If they refuse to sign, you can send it directly to the PF office with a letter stating that the employer has refused to sign the PF form.

If your PF has not been transferred, then Company A's PF can be withdrawn through Company A's employer.
