Surprising Post-Meal Habits That Could Be Hurting Your Health – What to Avoid and Why

* Don't smoke - Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after a meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer are higher).

* Don't eat fruits immediately - Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause the stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore, take fruit 1-2 hours after a meal or 1 hour before a meal.

* Don't drink tea - Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the protein content in the food we consume to harden, thus making it difficult to digest.

* Don't loosen your belt - Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted and blocked.

* Don't bathe - Bathing will cause an increase in blood flow to the hands, legs, and body, decreasing the amount of blood around the stomach and weakening the digestive system in our stomach.

* Don't walk about - People always say that after a meal, walk a hundred steps and you will live till 99. In actual fact, this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.

* Don't sleep immediately - The food we intake will not be able to digest properly, leading to gastric issues and infections in our intestine.

Good information. Thanks. This will help me to change some of my family members who are taking fruits and another who walks immediately after a meal at night.

Thanks once again,

Archana, I wanna add one more point - until the next 1-2 hours, don't have another meal because there are people who cannot control their hunger. So, once you have taken your meal, at least provide a gap of 4-5 hours before the next meal! 😊👍
