Professional Tax Amendment Notification. - PDF Download

Dear All,
I wish to share with you that The Maharashtra State Government has issued a Notification DT. 27/6/2009.
W.e.f. 01/07/2009, Profession Tax slab is as under;
I Salary and Wages earners
Such persons whose monthly salaries or wages,-
(a) do not exceed rupees 5000 NIL
(b) exceeds rupees 5000 but do not exceed rupees 10000
175 per month
(c ) exceeds rupees 10000
2500 per annum to be paid in following manner
1.. Rupees two hundred per month except for the month of February;
2.. Rupees three hundred for the month of February.

Hi Brijesh, its a valuable input for deductioin of Professional Tax from Salary. As we know that there are slots for the deposit of Professional Tax to government like the limits are prescribed and as per that it alots a due date to deposit with the government..can you give us detailed about that.. if there is any new circular..or change..or may be whatever the existing practice..
