Recently, we had an audit in our organization where they requested the IN and OUT register, which was not maintained. Could you please explain what the IN and OUT register is and what information needs to be filled in it?

Hi,

An IN and OUT register is a record of the timings of the employees, i.e., when an employee enters the office premises, it's counted as IN time. When the employee exits the office, he/she marks the OUT time. In this case, the total time an employee was in the office can be calculated, providing a clear picture of employees coming late to the office and working overtime.
