Waiting for ESIC Employer Code: How Long Should It Take After Registration?

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me what is the time limit to issue the Employer Code under the ESIC Act after submitting the duly filled registration form with all requisite documents attached? The form was submitted on 28 Jan 2009, and I have not received any correspondence in this regard from the ESIC regional office yet. Please advise.
