Feeling Stuck in Outsourcing? Seeking Advice on Switching to HR Mid-Career

Hi, I am new to Citehr and, of course, glad to be a part of this league. Let me give you guys a brief about my profile: I am an MBA with marketing as a specialization from Andhra University and about 6.5 years of experience in advertising, marketing, and market research-KPO (my present profile).

I somehow do not want to continue on the outsourced path anymore. The future looks really hazy to me. Well, I am just as concerned about my job and career as many others who are sailing in the Titanic of the outsourcing world. One of the reasons I am also shifting from Market Research to HR is that I am poor at the quantitative side of research, which somehow seems a mandate to survive in the MR industry. I hate math just like many other people do.

I want to switch to HR, which is my other area of interest apart from marketing. I completed my MBA from Andhra University (AU) in 2002, and in that period, AU did not have dual MBAs. So, I am now planning to pursue a one-year PGDHRM in distance learning mode. Would any of you please suggest a good institute for a mid-career professional like me?

I completed PGDHRM from Madurai Kamaraj University or Master of Labour Management from Madurai Kamaraj University. The best option is PGDHRM from Symbiosis, Pune.

Hi Rajeev, thank you for your reply. Nice of you to state options that way. The issue here is, I have already completed MBA in Marketing in full-time mode [2 yrs] and am looking for something short-term like a 1-year PGDHRM with exclusive HR subjects. Can you please give me some options?

See you have a full-time MBA. Now, you can go for PGDHRM from Madurai Kamaraj University, which contains only HR subjects, and it's also of one year duration. There are many institutes that offer one-year courses; even IGNOU is considered the best for this purpose.
