Dear all HR professionals,

What do you think - are you a born recruiter, or did you become a recruiter due to circumstances? Who do you think can become an effective recruiter - born or made? Do you believe there are certain qualities that a recruiter should have embedded in their personality, or can education provide what it takes to be a recruiter? What do you think are the reasons for poor-quality recruiters being churned out into the system - is it due to high demand or poor supply?

Post your views on these debatable issues to enlighten everybody.

Hi,

No person is born intelligent (there may be some exceptions). Intelligence is developed through family, culture, and the social environment. If that is the case, how can one argue that a recruiter is born? Clearly, all recruiters are made, and those who can identify talents can help them shine.

Maybe what he means is that there are some people with recruiting ESP. They just know who will be the good workers. =)

In recruiting now, it is important to be recruited as a good communicator. There are many attributes needed to be a good recruiter. Some people may have a few of these attributes naturally, but some need to be groomed as they enter the profession. However, as they progress, some individuals acquire all the necessary attributes of a recruiter without requiring grooming.

What are these attributes? First, knowledge in the area where they are recruiting is essential. They should understand the type of people needed for the position. Additionally, they need to comprehend the psychology, talents, and attitudes of the individuals they are interviewing. By matching these factors, recruiters can make informed judgments.

Recruitment is not an easy job to undertake.
