Navigating Cash Salary Issues: How to Tackle Job Applications and HR Questions?

trafficboy
I am working in a small firm and getting paid a salary of Rs. 15,000 in cash. My salary is not in the books of the company. I am given a letter "Payment of Salary" every month, which is signed by me as "received". It contains information that I have been paid Rs. 15,000/- by them.

Now I want to change my job, and my problems are as follows:

Problem 1 - Should I put in my Bio-data that I am being paid in Cash?

Problem 2 - Should I apply to big companies?

Problem 3 - What should be my answer to HR when they ask about salary proof?

Please help???

Hi,

What is the issue in mentioning your salary as Rs. 15k when you are receiving the same and not bluffing? In some small-scale industries, they pay in cash. You can apply to any company in the world. If possible, take a xerox copy of the letter "Payment of Salary" as proof to show when you attend any interview and are asked for it. The copy will also help you as proof of the salary received by you.

Is the company covered under PF? If so, what is the salary they are showing? That can also serve as proof for you.
