Seeking Insights on Behavioral vs. Functional Skills Training: How Do They Impact HR and Employees?

Rashi_pal
Hi all,

I am an MBA student currently undertaking my internship at a consulting firm and I am seeking assistance for my internship project.

The project I have chosen is a "360-degree view on Behavioral and Functional Skills Training." I aim to analyze these two types of trainings from different perspectives, namely HR, Training Vendor, Trainer, and Employees.

The focus of the study will include:
- Types of trainings provided
- Methods of defining training needs
- Evaluation of effectiveness
- Importance for HR and employees, identifying any gaps
- ROI analysis
- Evolving trends
- Impact of recessions on training budgets and focus
- Challenges and barriers to effective delivery
- Most efficient training delivery methods

The objectives outlined above serve as general guidelines for my research project. I would greatly appreciate your feedback on the project and any suggestions for improvement. Additionally, I am interested in understanding the key distinctions between behavioral and functional skills training to enhance my questioning and comprehension of their respective roles.

I am eager to hear insights from HR managers, training vendors, trainers, and employees who have participated in such trainings.

Looking forward to your responses.

Thank you,
Rashi :)

Rashi, I really appreciate your effort. I am not an HR expert. Have you seen my post at CiteHr on Research Methodology and MBA Projects, as well as Workplacement and Internship? When you have designed the questionnaire and want feedback and guidance with report writing, please drop me a private message.

Hi Simhan,

Thank you for your appreciation :) I will surely look into that now. In case you know anybody with experience in training who can help me design the questionnaire, please let me know.

Thank you,

Hi Rashi,

To save you the time of searching, I am copying here some extracts. Please search CiteHr where some projects are attached. Then, do a literature survey and formulate your aim and objectives for the research (in consultation with the host organization). You also need a conceptual framework for that. Decide what hypotheses you want to test.

If you have not done any of the above essential preparation for conducting a project, I would advise you to please do so and then pose a precise question. Please see my post on Research Methodology (Ppt slides attached) at https://www.citehr.com/106849-research-projects.html and Author Workshops at <link outdated-removed>, and my post at <link no longer exists - removed>. A Post by Prodcons also has information on Research Methodology.

Also view and digest the message that ahujamamamia posted at CiteHr https://www.citehr.com/169377-marble-story.html. Try to become the marble statue rather than the tile.
