I have recently come across a "climate survey" used in an Education department which covers a range of criteria, these being:

• Individual Morale

• Workplace Morale

• Supportive Leadership

• Role Clarity

• Teamwork

• Empowerment

• Ownership

• Appraisal & Recognition

• Employee Development

• Job Satisfaction

• Excessive Work Demands

• Individual Distress

• Workgroup Distress

As you can see, the employee satisfaction is only a part of a look at the overall health of the organisation. A project of this nature needs to be supported at an executive level in order that any value can be harnessed.

I used to work in this organisation and still have many friends there. They report that the project has had a very positive effect, particularly with regard to leader awareness and leader behaviour. There have been other benefits too, but these are seen as the most outstanding.

Please share your action/ plan if any one has worked upon improving employee satisfaction score.
Gallup organisation does ESS which gives good insight into satisfaction & engagement amongst employees.

Hi,
We are conducting an ESS in our organisation. This is the first time such initiative has been taken. I would really appreciate if i get some suggestion on how to analyse the feedback collected through the survey. The ESS form has been designed inhouse and has around 20 questions which is related to the working conditions, the culture, people and the overall work environment in the organization.
