I have recently come across a "climate survey" used in an Education department which covers a range of criteria, these being:
As you can see, the employee satisfaction is only a part of a look at the overall health of the organisation. A project of this nature needs to be supported at an executive level in order that any value can be harnessed.
I used to work in this organisation and still have many friends there. They report that the project has had a very positive effect, particularly with regard to leader awareness and leader behaviour. There have been other benefits too, but these are seen as the most outstanding.
