Ice Breakers Required???

Can somebody suggest some interesting ice breakers that are new and fresh?

Here are a couple of Ice Breakers.... which I use in my Programs
1. Each participant is asked to wither write words or draw pictures that describe themselves. This is done silently. They pin he picture on their chests, walk around and have everyone look each other over. Pictures are then shuffled and participants are asked to identify the person to which the picture belongs.
2. Sit in a circle. one person starts by using an adjective starting with the same letter as their first name, followed by their first name (i.e. Clever Claire, Kind Karen) The next person and following has to repeat the first person's adjective and name and then add their own. it goes arounf the circle and the last person has to repeat all other names in order and end with their own.

Two ice breakers I know which I don't know if its New or you know about it but they sure are interesting.

1) Ask every one to take Two piece of paper and write two things about themselves in each. On one he/she would write about their physical appearance and in the second one they would write about their basic nature. No one will write their name or show it to anyone and hand it over to the co-ordinator. Co-ordinator will shuffle it pass it on 2 papers each to all. Participants have to guess about whom are they reading. They can go and ask the person if they think he is. And once they have found the correct person, at the end they will introduce them to all.

This will help them know each other better about each other.

2) write names of different characters in a piece of paper and ask everyone to come forward one by one and enact the character to all without uttering a word. Others will guess the person. For e.g Robot- one will have to enact like Robot. Or Amitabh Bachchan - one will have to enact like Amitabh.

1. My Name Means…

A good game for small groups who need to know a little bit more about each other.

Split the group into pairs. Each pair has to come up with words that describe the person using the letters in their first name. The phrase is then shared with the group.

As an example, Lyndsay could stand for “Loud, Young, Nerdy, Dreamer, Strong, Adventurous, Yearning”.

As a more creative alternative, each pair has to come up with a silly phrase based on the letters in their first name.

Lyndsay could be “Lively Young Nurses Dance Salsa All Year”

2. If I were a…

A fun icebreaker game to encourage creativity, best for smaller groups.

Ask each person to say what they would be and why, if they were a…

• A piece of fruit

• An historical figure

• A household object

• A cartoon character

• Any other off the wall group you can think of!

I would be a pineapple as I am exotic, sweet and zingy.

I would be a whisk as I like to stir things up.

I would be Taz as I rush around like a crazy creature!
