Project on Exit Interview- differences in Public Sector Unit and Private Sector Unit

Please help me with:
1. Are exit interviews different in Public Sector Units (PSU) & Private sector Units?
2. How are exit interviews carried out in PSUs?
3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of exit interviews- specially when they are centralized & decentralized for branches across the country?
