Exploring Masters in Psychology Programs: College Options and Expert Advice

acoelho
Hello Mumbai!

I am looking to get back to an on-campus education after 10 years and am really excited about my decision. I have my heart set on the Master of Psychology program through the University of Pune, but after I found out that there are only 20 seats available, my heart sank to my toes!

So, I now need to keep my options open and register in other colleges that offer a similar program, and here is where I need your assistance. As I am not based in Mumbai (anymore :(... it's been 10 years... sniff), I would appreciate any expert advice on which colleges offer an MA in Psychology/Counseling. I have already contacted TISS but was curious if there are other options.

FYI, I have a BA degree from Sophia College, Mumbai, with a double major in Psychology and History (don't ask why, I was a lost soul then but hoping to make amends now :))

Thanks, Mandy

Hi Mandy,

You can also contact Madras University in Chennai for pursuing a PG Program in Psychology or Counseling Psychology. Their program is really good. Please do contact the University as soon as possible and check whether it meets your requirements.

Thank you, Vidyaa. I was hoping to do a full-time Master's program in Mumbai, Pune, or Bangalore. I have family and friends there and am not sure if I am willing to go through figuring out a new city on my own right now. However, I will check their program... who knows... I may change my mind! :)

Thanks again.

Hi,

You can try with Mumbai University, Department of Psychology. They have more than 80 seats in all. Also, SNDT University is also an option available to you.
