Is there some place where I can get details about the average salary structure for various industries? Also, I would like to know how much the recruitment companies get paid for each job placement. Is it a fixed amount or a percentage? Please let me know.

Recruitment companies charge commission for each job placement. This can be a percentage or a fixed amount according to the contract. Typically, the percentage is 8.33%, which is approximately equivalent to one month's salary.

Major big companies have tie-ups with HR consultants. The payment for the consultants depends on the years of experience the recruited candidate has. If the candidate has less than two years of experience, the payment is around 5% of the CTC. For candidates with 5 to 8 years of experience, the payment is 10% of CTC, and for candidates with more than 8 years of experience, the payment is 12% of CTC.
