There is nothing wrong in a husband and wife working together on a project or team. One important aspect is that, on the job, the employer should not see them as husband and wife, but purely as employees assigned to a project. Also, on the job, the employees have to understand that they are only team members and stay focused on the project work, without deviating from significant issues due to things at home.

If the company feels their skills are suitable for the project and they can work together, then all is well.

However, it is important to consider other aspects as well. For instance, if one of the spouses leaves, the other might also leave. Therefore, it is essential to ensure that there are enough people trained to take over the job once they depart.
