Seeking Companies Using 360-Degree Appraisals: Can You Share Your Insights?

I would like to know the names of the companies implementing the 360-degree appraisal process. If anyone can help me out, I am waiting for a quick response.

I once read in a Business Today, where a survey was conducted by the name "Great Places to Work" in 2003. In this edition, it was mentioned that Godrej implements 360-degree appraisal. After one such appraisal, Mr. Adi Godrej got to know that his aggressive behavior is not liked by the people in the organization. After that, he started having lunch with the employees in their canteen area once a week. Two hours per week were given to employees to hear any grievances, one-on-one with Mr. Adi Godrej. It really worked for him.

The second company mentioned there was Cadbury India Ltd., which also implements the 360-degree appraisal.

Hewitt Associates also has a 360-degree feedback cycle. It is not an IT company; however, their tech division in India comprises about 2000 associates who also participate in the 360-degree review process.

Hi Sujata,

When I was pursuing my MBA, I did a project on 360-degree feedback for JetAir. I conducted numerous surveys and met with HR professionals from companies that were using the 360-degree appraisal method. Some of the companies I studied include NIIT, PHILIPS, WARTSILA, and MONSANTO. In fact, you can read a book written by TV RAO on the 360-degree feedback system, where they have described many companies utilizing these systems.
