Summer HR Project Ideas: What Are the Best Training and Development Topics for Manufacturing?

Kindly suggest some current topics for a summer project in the field of HR. My area of interest is training and development. I will be joining a manufacturing company.

If you have an interest in Training and Development, it would be better to focus your project on Training Needs Analysis (TNA).

Hey, you can go for Training Needs Analysis as the main project and one or two smaller projects like Employment Forecasting, etc., which may be on a micro-level as well. That's what I am currently doing.

As you mentioned that you would be joining a manufacturing firm, I suggest you focus your project on the manufacturing sector. You can conduct a comparative study by performing a gap analysis on any area of HR function, selecting a few companies in the manufacturing sector. I recommend studying Training Needs Analysis in the same sector. It can be quite challenging to do this in manufacturing firms as the training needs would directly focus on the skills used by employees in production.
