Navigating PF Transfers and Withdrawals: How to Handle Multiple Job Changes?

k2g
Hi,

I got stuck with PF procedures. Please guide me.

1. I worked for company A for 2 years and then shifted to company B. I gave a PF Transfer Application from company B. Funds are still not transferred, but I changed my job again to company C. Now, since the PF office has received the transfer application from B, how can I handle it in company C? Should I give a transfer application of PF from A and B in company C?

2. Can I withdraw PF of company A directly?

3. For tax exemption, 5 years of PF account is mandatory. So for A, I worked for 2 years, and after 3 years (without transfer or anything, I mean I left PF operative there only), if I withdraw, then it's taxable or not?

4. What are the losses if I withdraw money rather than transfer?

Thanks a lot,
Keshav

Dear,

PF amount withdrawn is taxable. If it is withdrawn on superannuation, then only it is not taxable. It is better to withdraw both amounts as getting a transfer is a lengthy procedure.

Thank you,
