I think you should keep applying for new jobs as with 2 year experience and 13k is some thing which is very any packvery minimal....
Companies take advantage as HR jobs are less and people are ready to come at any package in a generalist profile.

I think u have sufficent experience for applying to another companies..So keep on Applying new jobs...

Minimum Salary Acc. to Your Profile is 18-23k in city like chandigarh..
but it may vary from city to city..

Hi Vinnet,
Salary is mainly depends upon your experiance in this filed. It doesn't mean that being a manager you should get high salary. Other managers getting depending upon their performance, qualification and more over their hands on experaince in the filed.
T&D is purely your responsibility.
Take care of your responsibilities well and gain knowlege. In future you will get good pay masters and you will win onw day. Keep increasing knowldge and experaince

Coming to your questions:

1. Firstly the 'factor' that does matter the compensation in the current scenatio is not your experience nor industry standards....but its just the "Affordability of your company" How much it can pay... Since we belong to costing centers the affordabilty of the small and medium companies are very sensible. Thus I can say that the salary you are drawing should be equally propotional to the business you are company is doing..

2. When it comes to T&D.. it also comes under HR manager, but many companies are seperating this team. The idea behind this seperation is the concentrated approach on the development of individuals. As i can understand that your company cant afford having a new team... so I think you have to handle the same... You could be more responsible for facilitating and coordinating and planning traininig programs. As per the training need find an SME in that area as a trainer.

As Mr. Tiwari has asked, our is a KPO wd 100 ppl strength, its a PVT LTd. company.
I take a note of this thing as all of you have advised that I should gain experience first and keep searching for gud job side by side.,
Moreover, Clemence thanx for adding that thing regarding my direct reporting to the MD. I never thought from that perspective and may be its worth gaining that experience.

I guess you pretty much got the answers from other friends. Adding to that, I just wanna say about one of your problem that, your MD is making you like a PA and treat you as a kid.
Buddy, I would suggest you, Try to use this opportunity. It may sound funny but still as a MS , he will comeup with lot of experience and skills. So try to grap it and learn as much as possible from him. After some time the same position & MD wont be with you but your learning will be with you.

Dear Vineet, We should not compare our salary with others if you do so your motivation levels & performance will go down which may not be good to your career.
If you got all the experience & there is nothing to learn in that co. then try to change the co.
Even if change no one can give you more than 18000/- i.e30% of your present salary
Working as a secratery you can make MD depend on you & ur image & respect will go high. I think ur MD final authrity to decide increments your work is directly monitered by him so there is chance of good hike.
