If an employee is terminated for disciplinary action, will he receive a relieving letter and experience letter from his organization? He had more than two years of experience.
You have to give him a service letter and a relieving letter. If you want to really tarnish his image, you can mention that 'Due to so and so reasons, you are terminated on disciplinary grounds and relieved from service w.e.f...'. Generally, no one does it intentionally. It is better to give him a regular letter. Else, it may affect his career.
You can either provide an experience letter stating that he has been terminated due to a specific reason, or it's better not to issue any experience certificate.
It is the duty of HR to issue the experience letter even if he has been terminated. How can you say no to him? He has worked in your company, and his labor record will substantiate his service. Whether voluntary separation or termination, he was an employee and worked in your company. Tomorrow he can file a suit saying he was terminated without a service letter.
"A lady will continue to be called as 'Mrs' or 'Ms' even if she is a widow or a divorcee."
I have never heard of any company not issuing the relieving/service or experience letter.
