Caught Off Guard in an Interview: Can You Clarify Worker, Workman, Supervisor, and Manager Roles?

dasp06
Dear All,

I was caught on the wrong foot at an interview today. I jumbled things up when I was asked to explain who is a Worker, who is a Workman, who is a Supervisor, and who is a Manager under different labor-related Acts. Would anyone like to shed some light on this?

Regards,
Prashant

Dear Prashant,

If you jumble many acts into one question, then it is very difficult to answer. The word "worker" is only used in factories act, whereas "workmen" is used in many acts. The words "supervisor" and "manager" are used in the ID act; even "manager" is used in the factory act. So, you have to refer to these acts to clear these doubts.
