Navigating PF and Pension Withdrawal After Resignation: When and How Can I Claim Benefits?

bijusebsa
Sir,

I have resigned from my services after 13 years of continuous service from Feb 2005. Now I am only 40 years old. I have applied for PF withdrawal and also applied for a scheme certificate for the pension fund. I am no longer in any service.

1. After getting the scheme certificate, when can I claim the pension and how?
2. Will I get my PF now or whether it is clubbed with the scheme certificate - i.e., get my PF only after the surrender of the Scheme Certificate?

Dear [Name],

You can withdraw PF at any time, but the pension can start after the age of 48.

Thank you.

Dear Malik,

Thank you for your response. Could you please let me know how to claim my pension after turning 48 years old? Also, where should I apply for it as I am no longer in service?

Dear Biju Sebastian,

The minimum age to receive a pension is not 48 years, but 50 years. However, for each year below 58, you will lose 4% of your pension. To apply, you may fill out form 10-D and submit it to the Office of the Regional PF Commissioner.

Dear All,

Our company has been undertaking job work since March 2010, with more than twenty workers. Will we start receiving PF payments from March onwards? If yes, will there be any penalties imposed on us?

Regards,
Manish
