Can you review this spreadsheet and let me know if anything else should be considered in the attrition rate to report up to an execuative level.
Thanks for your input!

I feel you have to check on two things
a) Are you reporting annualized attrition? Check on the attrition figures (are you using the standard formula) . Also it is the trend to report annualized attrition eventhough it is calculated on a monthly basis. 4% looks good..but on an annualized basis it might be upto 40% + !
b) What are the reasons of attrition. At an executive level they might be more interested in that.
c) what are you doing to reduce the same !

Your formula for calculating attrition rate seems to be incorrect. Try divinding the no of employees left by avg employees for the month which will be =E6/((C6+F6)/2). And always calculate attrition as an annualised figure as monthly average is no indicator since it is a small number compared to the annual one....

The formula which we use to calculate attrition is as follows

Attrition %: Number of Employees Attrite / Average Strength of Employees

Average Strength of Employees : (Employee count in the Beginning /Employee Count in the end)/2
Correct formula : =E6/(AVERAGE(C6,F6)) = 2.61%
