What is organizational development? Can we share some industry best practices on OD? How can an organization constructively develop best practices in OD and deploy it across the organization?
What I understand OD is a long process of reengineering an ailing organization by taking strategic, well-planned, and thoughtful positive steps to bring about positive change in the organization for growth, prosperity, and culture. Anyone who has implemented OD interventions in the organization can better explain the steps needed for OD.
OD is a planned change supported by top management aiming at improving the efficacy of an organization through various planned interventions called OD interventions. OD operates at various levels in an organization like individual, group, and organizational, etc.
OD is the systematic and planned development of an organization. As the organization undergoes continuous change through frequent interactions with the environment, it needs to be constantly updated to be well-versed with what is going on outside. Thus, this requires constant development within all spheres. :)
