Dear HR buddies,

Please let me know of a few good consultants in Hyderabad who specialize in placing HR Managers.

Hi Kiran,

It helps to be precise with your question and also give your background: who you are, what level of students you are considering, how long your session should last, etc. Also, it is advisable to search both CiteHR and other sites where you will find ready-made answers rather than raise a query. For example, go to:

- http://www.nercomp.org/data/media/De...nts%202008.pdf
- Personality Development

Dear Simhan,

Thank you for responding to the request and guiding me. As I had mentioned, I am planning to organize a Personality Development seminar for college students, especially for MBA students who are about to enter the corporate world and face interviews. I have thought of some topics like Time Management, Soft Skills, etc., but need some world-class material, exercises, and games to add. If you could please help.

Regards,
Kiran

Hi Kiran,

How long is this course that you are designing? Are the skills (supposed to be red) not covered in the MBA courses in HR and Marketing? For example, I used to have a session on Negotiations for undergraduates in the Purchasing Module.

Dear Simhan,

My confusion, as you rightly mentioned, was the same. But one of my seniors suggested that these topics, though covered in the curriculum, need a better understanding by the student when entering the market. (Kindly suggest.) Do you think that the rest of the topics cater to the needs of a graduating student of MBA or any other degree? Kindly suggest any other topics that should be covered for better results.

I am also planning to post the presentation that I am working on for your comments. I would be obliged if you could help.

Thanks and Regards,
Kiran

Kiran, you have not answered my question about the duration of the sessions.

The preference in the West is to try and incorporate the skills training into the subject modules, rather than have a stand-alone session. One of the reasons for that is the lack of interest and seriousness if these are not assessed.
