When I was schooling I was in the Quality Assurances team where we implemented the 5S concept in different methods. But what we found out then was other than taking part against other school activities with 5S etc. no one was really interested in this. Even the ones who were implementing were not supported in the cause.
But now I find in Sri Lanka more companies as well as government Organizations implementing this concept with very high results. This should be promoted amongst companies to boost efficiency, cleanliness, effectiveness etc.
